How to Configure NordVPN WireGuard VPN Client on a TP-Link Wireless Router
A VPN Client is used to create VPN connections for devices in your home network, allowing them to access a remote VPN server. To use the VPN feature, simply configure a VPN connection and choose the client devices you want to connect through the VPN on your TP-Link Wi-Fi router, then these devices will access the Internet via the encrypted VPN tunnel. For instructions on how to set up and use this feature, please follow the steps below:
1. Log in to the web-based interface of the router. For instructions on how to do so, please refer to How do I log into the web-based Utility (Management Page) of TP-Link wireless router?
Navigate to Advanced → VPN Client and enable the VPN Client option.
2. In the Server List section below, there is an 'Add' option in the upper right corner. Click on it and select “NordVPN”.
3. A NordVPN token will be required to proceed. To obtain a token, please refer to: How to obtain a Token From NordVPN
4. After entering the token and logging in, you can now select a server. Once you've selected the server you want, click 'Save,' and your settings will be applied.
5. When the router is successfully connected to the server, its status will change from 'connecting' to 'connected.'
If the status remains 'connecting' for an extended period, we recommended checking the condition of your network or switching to another VPN server.
Done! You have now established a VPN Client-Server connection, and can manage which devices within your network that you want to connect through the VPN.
