There are 2 methods to pair and connect the Tapo devices to your Tapo Hub. Before you start, make sure your Tapo hub has been set up and is online.

Method 1: Use Tapo App

*Here we take Motion Sensor (Tapo T100) as an example.

1. Open the Tapo app and tap + on the top right.

2. Select Sensors and tap Tapo T100.

3. If you have more than 1 hub, you’ll need to select a hub you want the sensor to connect to. If there is only 1 hub, you’ll skip this step automatically.

Note: There are 3 kinds of connection states of the hub, including Light, Moderate, and Dense. For optimal performance, avoid connecting more devices when the connection is Dense.

4. Follow the app instructions to power on your sensor and put it in pairing mode.

6. Follow the app instructions to pair the sensor with your hub and complete sensor setup. When the Complete page shows up, the pairing is done.

Method 2: Use SYNC Button

*Here we take Motion Sensor (Tapo T100) as an example.

1. Put your sensor in pairing mode

Power up your sensor, then press and hold the Reset button for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode. The LED should start blinking.

Note: Refer to the user manual for how to enter the pairing mode of other devices.

2. Put your hub in pairing mode

Single press the SYNC button on your hub for 1 second to enter pairing mode and the LED should blink blue.

3. After pairing is complete, you will find your sensor shown on the home page of the Tapo app.
