How should I manage the LED Control of my TP-Link router and range extender via Tether App?

Follow the steps below to get to know the steps of managing LED Control of your device via Tether app.

Note

LED Status on Tether App displays the real-time LED status of your TP-Link devices. If currently the LED lights of your TP-Link devices are off, the LED Status on Tether App will become disabled.

Case 1 For Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 Router, Wi-Fi 7 Range Extender

For example: Archer AX72/AXE95/BE800/BE900, RE800BE, Etc.

Here takes Archer AX72 for demonstration.

Step 1: Launch the Tether app, and tap Local Device to find your target device.

Step 2: Then you’ll see the following page. Tap More to manage your device.

Step 3: Tap LED Control in the More page.

Step 4: Turn on the Night Mode.

Step 5: Then you can set a specified period for the LED to be automatically off.

Case 2 For other models

For example: Archer A8/C54/C5400/VR900/MR600, RE500/TL-WA854RE, Etc.

Here takes Archer C5400X for demonstration.

Step 1: Launch the Tether app, and tap Local Device to find your target device.

Step 2: Then you’ll see the following page. Tap Tools to manage your device.

Step 3: It’s easy to find LED Control in the Tools page (only if your model support this ability). Tap it!

Step 4: Turn on the Night Mode.

Step 5: Then you can set a specified period for the LED to be automatically off.
