How to unbind the account (TP-Link ID) with TP-Link router/Deco

You can unbind the TP-Link account with TP-Link router/Deco. After unbinding, you can re-register the router/Deco to another account (TP-Link ID).

For Router

There are two ways to unbind the account (TP-Link ID) with TP-Link router: on the web management page or on the Tether APP.

Method 1 Unbind via web-based Utility

1. Log into the web-based Utility. Refer to FAQ 87.

2. Go to Advanced -> TP-Link ID, and focus on the Bound Accounts section.

3. Check the box(es) of the TP-Link ID(s) you want to remove and click Unbind.

Method 2 Unbind via Tether App

1. Log in Tether App.

2. Go to My Devices page and click on the button in the end of your local/cloud device.

3. tap unbind button to unbind your TP-Link device from the TP-Link ID.

Method 3 Unbind via Factory Reset

To factory reset the router, please refer to FAQ 497.

For Deco

Reset the Deco product and delete Deco network, then the account will be unbound.
